After moving to the second pyramid, which was built for King Chephren, the second legitimate son of his father Cheops, you will have the option to enter the first pyramid. Chephren built his pyramid somewhat smaller than his father's great pyramid out of respect for the majesty and authority of his father and king. You will then view the tiniest pyramid in Giza, which was constructed for King Mycerinus of the 4th dynasty, as well as how enormous the Sphinx is, which was carved out of a single large rock to resemble King Chephren's face with a lion's body as a traditional emblem for both strength and intelligence.
Visit the Valley Temple, which is situated opposite the sphinx, to continue your tour of the Giza Pyramids. This temple was primarily constructed to carry out King Chephren's mummification as part of the funeral rites that assisted the king through his afterlife.
Following your tour of the Giza Pyramids, your guide will drive you to the Saqqara Necropolis, one of Egypt's finest archaeological sites and the location of 11 royal pyramids, including The Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the first pyramid to be constructed entirely of stone. The excursion also includes access to one of Saqqara's pyramids. To witness the best-preserved scenes and paintings of daily life in ancient Egypt, keep going to one of the lords' tombs.
Have lunch at one of the neighborhood eateries in Giza, and then we'll take a private vehicle to Memphis, which was an important city during the Middle and New Kingdoms and the Greco-Roman era. Memphis served as Egypt's capital during the Old Kingdom.
When you view the open-air museum with all the wealth of the statues, especially those that were made for King Ramses II, owner of the well-known temples known as the Abu Simbel Temples, you will be astounded.
After your Giza day tour is over, we'll take you back to your hotel in Giza so you may spend the night.
